What is the difference between Swing Check Valve and Lift Check Valve

The swing check valve adopts an internal rocker arm swing structure, and all the opening and closing parts of the valve are installed inside the valve body, without penetrating the valve body. Except for the sealing gasket and sealing ring used in the middle flange part, there are no external leakage points overall, eliminating the possibility of valve leakage.

The lifting check valve has a disc located on the sealing surface of the valve seat on the valve body. Except for the disc which can be freely lifted, the rest of the valve is like a globe valve. The fluid pressure lifts the disc from the sealing surface of the valve seat. The medium reflux causes the disc to fall back onto the valve seat and cut off the flow.

The connection between the rocker arm and the valve disc of the swing check valve adopts a spherical connection structure, which allows the valve disc to have a certain degree of freedom within a 360 degree range with appropriate micro position compensation. The swing check valve has been widely used in multiple fields such as chemical, metallurgical, pharmaceutical, etc.

What is the difference between a swing check valve and a lift check valve? According to the usage conditions, the valve disc can be an all metal structure, or it can be in the form of a rubber gasket or rubber ring embedded on the valve disc holder. Like the globe valve, the passage of fluid through the lift check valve is narrow, so the pressure drop through the lift check valve is greater than that of the swing check valve, and the flow rate of the swing check valve is less restricted.
